How much does Red Rock Canyon cost from Las Vegas: €122 GoCar drive or €240 helicopter?
Updated October 12, 2026 · 5 min read
Red Rock Canyon is the cheap one of the Las Vegas excursions, and the answer depends on how you want to see it. The €122.29 GoCar tour gets you onto the 13-mile Scenic Loop with park entry included; the €240.28 helicopter flight takes one hour and lifts you above it. With your own car, the park fee is $20 per vehicle. We recommend the helicopter for most visitors who want a tour, and the car for everyone else.
| Option | Duration | From | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Narrated GPS-guided GoCar tour | 4 hr | €122.29 | 4.8 (7) | driving the loop at your own pace, entry included |
| Helicopter landing tour | 1 hr | €240.28 | 4.5 (214) | the view from above, one hour in total |
| Your own car | your time | $20 per vehicle | – | groups of three or more |
What the €122.29 GoCar tour includes
The listing describes a GPS-guided GoCar adventure to Red Rock Canyon, a drive along the famous 13-mile Scenic Loop, included park entry and exploring at your own pace. The title calls it narrated and GPS-guided, so expect the commentary to come from the device rather than a person; the listing price is per person and the duration is four hours.
Two things to weigh. First, the review base is seven reviews at 4.8 stars: promising, and also too small to be a verdict. Second, the abstract does not say what the driving licence or age requirements are, or how many people share a vehicle; check both on the booking page before you pay.
The Bureau of Land Management says the Scenic Drive takes about 40 minutes without stopping. The listed four hours therefore include more than the loop itself; the abstract does not break the time down.

What the €240.28 helicopter flight buys
The abstract promises a flight over Las Vegas and Red Rock Canyon with panoramic views of the valley, champagne overlooking the Mojave Desert and a return flight to the city lights. The listing is a one-hour product with 214 reviews at 4.5 stars, which is a solid base.
It is the right purchase if you want height and the city in the same view. It is the wrong one if what you want is to walk among the rocks: a helicopter flight is not a hike, and the abstract does not promise a stop for walking.

Driving there yourself: the fee and the reservation rule
The park charges $20 per vehicle for the day, according to the conservation area’s fee page. From 1 October to 31 May a timed-entry reservation is required between 8 am and 5 pm; from 1 June to 30 September none is needed, and passes are bought at the entrance station, according to the BLM. The GoCar listing says park entry is included; ask on the booking page how the entry time is handled in the colder months.
With three or four people in one car, the $20 fee is a small figure and your own wheels are by far the cheapest way. Whether to rent one is the question we answer in do you need a hire car in Las Vegas; compare cars for the days you need one.
Who should choose which
- One or two people without a car: the GoCar tour is the simpler way to do the loop, accepting the thin review base.
- Couples after a memorable hour: the helicopter.
- Families and groups with a car: drive yourself and keep the €122.29 for something else.
- Anyone whose Grand Canyon day is coming: the helicopter here will not replace it, and the bus day to the West Rim costs less than the flight does. Our Grand Canyon price comparison lists those options.
Our recommendation
For one person or a couple who want a tour: the helicopter flight if you want to be lifted above the valley, the GoCar tour if you want to drive the loop yourself without arranging entry.
