High Roller, STRAT or Eiffel Tower: which Las Vegas view to pay for — and the one that lets you cancel
Updated September 18, 2026 · 6 min read
Three Strip attractions sell essentially the same thing: the city from above. The prices are close enough that the view itself is not what should decide it. What differs is when you are allowed up, how long the ticket stays valid, whether you can change your mind, and which of them is shut on the days you might be there.
All figures below come from our GetYourGuide selection and the operators’ booking pages, checked on 18 September 2026.
The three at a glance

| Stars / reviews | 4.6 / 5,171 | 4.5 / 1,684 | 4.6 / 1,238 |
| Height | 550 ft, around 168 m | 1,149 ft | 460 ft, 46 storeys |
| Format | 30-minute revolution in an air-conditioned cabin | indoor and outdoor decks | open-air deck reached by a glass lift |
| Ticket valid | 3 days from the chosen date | 1 day | 3 days from the chosen date |
| Cancellation | non-refundable | free up to 24 hours before | non-refundable |
| Opening | Anytime tickets from 12 pm to closing; Daytime tickets 12 pm–5 pm only | day or night | 4 pm–12 am, last entry 11.30 pm |
The single most useful line in that table is the cancellation row. The STRAT ticket is the only one of the three you can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before, and its listing also offers reserve now and pay later. On a trip where an evening might move, that is worth more than the few euros between the three prices.
The Eiffel Tower does not open until 4 pm
This catches people out more than anything else here. The Paris Las Vegas viewing deck states its hours plainly: open daily 4 pm to midnight, last entry 11.30 pm. There is no daytime visit to plan around. If you want a view in daylight — with children, before dinner, or on an afternoon when the heat has driven you indoors — the choice is between the High Roller and the STRAT, and that is the end of the comparison.
What you get in exchange is the best-placed view of the evening: the deck faces the Bellagio across the road, and the tower runs its own light show every half hour after dark. It is also the one where the smallest practical detail matters most — only one visitor in a wheelchair is allowed on the observation deck at a time, according to the booking page. For a group that includes a wheelchair user, ask before you buy, because that limit is a queue, not a note.
Two closures worth writing in your calendar
Both the High Roller and the Eiffel Tower listings carry 2026 dates when the normal ticket does not work:
- High Roller: closed to the general public on Tuesday, 27 October 2026 from 4 pm to 7.30 pm, and no entry at all from 19 to 21 November 2026 due to a venue closure.
- Eiffel Tower: because of the Formula 1 race, tickets are only valid on 19 and 20 November from 6–7 pm and 10 pm–12 am, and on 21 November from 4–7 pm and 10 pm–12 am.
If your trip falls in that November window, the STRAT is the one at the far north end of the Strip and the one whose listing shows no such restriction — and it is also the one you can cancel.
Which height actually buys what
Taller is not automatically better. The STRAT is more than twice the height of the other two and it is off the busy stretch of the Strip, so the view is a wide one of the whole valley with the hotels laid out in the distance. The High Roller sits in the middle of everything at the LINQ, which means the buildings are close, large and recognisable. The Eiffel Tower deck is the lowest of the three and looks straight down onto the Bellagio fountains, which is the postcard.
Choose by what you want in the picture, not by the number of feet. Reviewers on the High Roller listing consistently prefer sunset and after dark, and the frequent complaint is window glass rather than the ride. At the STRAT, note the practical point in its own information: every guest goes through a metal-detection search and bags are searched, and the listing asks guests with a pacemaker or metal medical device to say so.
What the ticket does not include
All three tickets are admission only. The High Roller listing excludes souvenirs and photos; the STRAT ticket excludes food and drinks — there is a bar at the top, and it is not in the price; the Eiffel Tower ticket excludes the Eiffel Tower Restaurant, which is a separate booking on a lower level. The High Roller listing also asks you to bring a passport or ID card.
One more thing the High Roller sells that is easy to get wrong: the Daytime ticket is valid only between 12 pm and 5 pm. If your plan is a sunset ride in June, the Daytime ticket does not cover it. The Anytime ticket does.
Our answer
Cheapest and most reliable: the High Roller. It is the most-reviewed activity in our entire Las Vegas selection — 5,171 reviews, which measures how many people go, not that it is the best of the three — and at €18.43 it is the lowest-risk way to see the Strip from above. Our full write-up is in the High Roller guide.
Best for a plan that might change, and for the biggest panorama: the STRAT. Free cancellation up to 24 hours beforehand is the only flexible ticket here.
Best single evening picture: the Eiffel Tower deck, as long as you accept an evening-only visit and check the November dates.
And the honest alternative: none of them. The Bellagio fountains are free to watch from the pavement, and the walk between the Paris and the LINQ costs nothing at all. If a view is one item on a longer evening, our guide to an evening in Las Vegas puts it next to the shows and the helicopter flights; the current prices for all of them are on the things to do page.
