Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend in a day: what the 17 hours from €342.77 really mean

Among the Las Vegas offers we source from GetYourGuide, this day trip ranks 5th by number of reviews: 2,037 reviews, 4.8 stars, from €342.77 per person, a duration of 17 hours. According to the booking page, the operator is Fun Group inc. Among the tours featuring Antelope Canyon in our listings, no other comes close to this many reviews. The next is the Golden Hour tour, with 665.
The appeal is obvious: three of the best-known landscapes in the American Southwest in a single day, without hiring a car. The price for that is not only the money, but the time in the vehicle. That is exactly what this article is about.
The Day in Numbers
According to the booking page, the tour starts and ends at the Bellagio. In between are three stops, each lasting one hour:
- Antelope Canyon, guided tour, 1 hour
- Horseshoe Bend, walk and viewpoint, 1 hour
- Grand Canyon National Park, sightseeing, 1 hour
Add it up, and you spend around three of the 17 hours at the three destinations. The rest is driving, eating and breaks. The operator itself states that the schedule is for guidance only and may change. The booking page only shows the departure time once you check availability. A guest from Germany writes that they were on the road for almost 18 hours. According to them, it was exhausting and not an easy trip, but they enjoyed the day very much.
Travel is by van, with the group limited to 12 participants. A guest from Japan reports a toilet stop roughly every two hours. For shared tours, the operator needs a minimum number of participants. If that number is not reached, the booking page says you get your money back or are offered another option.
The Grand Canyon here is the South Rim, the part of the national park most people know from photos. The ten-hour Grand Canyon West and Hoover Dam bus tour from €85.26 visits a different section of the canyon. If you only want to see the Grand Canyon, that tour is considerably cheaper and shorter.
What’s Included and What Isn’t
According to the booking page, included: guide, driver, return journey in the van, lunch, admission for Lower Antelope Canyon, Grand Canyon National Park and Horseshoe Bend, plus pick-up and drop-off at the Bellagio. Only with the private option are you picked up anywhere in Las Vegas.
Not included are breakfast and dinner, the tip for the guide, driver and the guide inside Antelope Canyon, and the surcharge for visitors who do not live in the US.
This surcharge is the biggest item many people overlook. According to the National Park Service, since 1 January 2026 visitors aged 16 and over who do not live in the US pay $100 per person on top of the normal admission at eleven national parks. Grand Canyon National Park is one of them. This explicitly applies to participants on commercial tours too. The operator states that payment may be due on the day of the tour. All guests are therefore asked to bring a valid credit card, plus a passport or ID.
The NPS names one exception: holders of the Non-Resident Annual Pass do not pay the surcharge. The pass costs $250. Whether that is worth it for you depends on how many more of these parks you plan to visit. How the operator handles the pass on the tour is something you clarify with them beforehand.
For a couple from Europe, that means €685.54 for the tour, plus a $200 surcharge, breakfast, dinner and tips. On tipping, a guest from Poland reports feeling pressured to give at least 10 percent per person. That is a single account, but one worth knowing before you get on board.
The Three Stops
Antelope Canyon. According to the booking page, you visit Lower Antelope Canyon with a Navajo guide. The operator notes that there are several ladders there.
Horseshoe Bend. According to the description, you reach the bend in the Colorado River via a sandy path of 1.2 kilometres. In summer, the operator writes, you walk 2.4 kilometres there and back in extreme heat with no shade. That is not just a figure of speech. Water, a hat and sunglasses are on the packing list for good reason.
Grand Canyon South Rim. The last stop, one hour. That is enough for a first glimpse into the canyon. If you want to hike at the Grand Canyon or visit several viewpoints, this tour is not for you.
What Guests Praise and What Bothers Them
On the booking page, the tour scores 4.8 out of 5 for the guide, 4.6 for transport, and 4.6 as well for value for money. Transport therefore sits a little below the overall rating. The summary of last year’s reviews notes that some guests would have liked more space and a more comfortable vehicle for the long drive. The topic “schedule and duration” is mentioned there 89 times, and transport quality 29 times.
The critical reviews almost always centre on the same thing. A guest 1.85 metres tall writes in 2025 that the van was small and cramped, and the schedule too tight. After Antelope Canyon, the group reportedly waited 40 minutes in the bus without air conditioning for the other group. Several guests report that the driver drove too fast. These voices are a small minority among over 2,000 reviews. Still, if you have long legs or sleep badly in a vehicle, they are worth taking seriously.
One point for German-speaking guests: according to the booking page, the live guiding is available in English and Japanese. Two reviews from Japan specifically praise the Japanese-language guide. A German-language guide is not offered.
The Two Alternatives Alongside It

The sunrise tour is €59.85 cheaper, but according to the booking page it picks you up the evening before, between 10pm and midnight from April to September, and between midnight and 1am from October to March. Meals are not included. For tipping, the operator explicitly states at least $30 per person for the guide. That eats up part of the price advantage. In return, you see the Grand Canyon in the first light and get more time at Antelope Canyon. According to the booking page, this tour does not take children under five.
The Golden Hour tour costs €162.77 less and leaves out the Grand Canyon. That also removes the surcharge, since none of its stops are among the eleven parks on the NPS list. It travels via St. George, Utah for breakfast, then on to Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon and the viewpoint at Glen Canyon Dam. Breakfast and lunch cost extra. It is the only one of the three with a German-language guide. A guest from Spain reports, however, that the Spanish-speaking guide they had booked was replaced at short notice, and that inside the canyon itself the Navajo guide only spoke English. The ratings are lower: 4.4 for the guide, 4.3 for transport, 4.2 for value for money.

Who This Tour Is Not For
Wheelchair users. The booking page explicitly excludes them.
Young children. Under the age of three, the operator only takes children on a private tour. Children under eight and under 145 centimetres need a child car seat, which you must register in advance. Allowed, though, does not mean sensible. Seventeen hours with children of nursery-school age is not a day out, it is a night in the van. Anyone who copes poorly with heat. According to the operator, the path to Horseshoe Bend runs through extreme heat with no shade in summer. If you are unsure about your health, ask your doctor beforehand.
Anyone wanting more than a glimpse. One hour at the Grand Canyon is a photo, not an exploration.
Travellers with luggage. Suitcases and large bags are not allowed, according to the booking page. So the tour does not work as a transfer.
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. If the operator cancels the tour due to bad weather, or if the main destinations are closed because of weather, the booking page says you get the choice between a full refund and rebooking. Delays due to weather or traffic are possible, and if they wreck your own plans, there is no refund for that. So do not schedule anything fixed for the evening afterwards.
Our Assessment
If you only have one free day, do not want to hire a car, and want to see all three destinations once, this tour gives you exactly that, and the 4.8 stars show that most guests come back satisfied. You should just know what you are buying: three hours of landscape and fourteen hours of driving, breaks and meals.
If you already know the Grand Canyon, or want to see it differently, take the Golden Hour tour and save €162.77 plus the surcharge. If you want the sunrise and can cope with a night-time pick-up, take the sunrise tour. And if you really only wanted to see the Grand Canyon, none of these three days is for you.
